Peter Crook

Peter Crook

Peter Crook is a partner of the firm having qualified as a solicitor in 1970 with the firm of T. D. Morgan & Co, which merged with Husband Forwood Williams & Co in 1993 to become the present firm. He heads the property department and has considerable experience in residential and commercial conveyancing, including acting for developers, funders and property investors. He also deals with Wills and Probate, elderly client matters including Powers of Attorney, company law and other non-contentious work. He is a member of the Law Society Property Section.
Peter is a local man having lived in Wirral all his life and outside the office he enjoys all sports particularly rugby, football, cricket and sailing, foreign travel, wine, gardening and entertaining his young grandchildren.

Ian Fisher

Ian Fisher

Ian Fisher is a partner of the firm. He was born in Scotland and qualified as a solicitor in 1972. Along with Chris Morton he was a member of the former firm of Husband Forwood Williams & Co. His area of work includes Wills, Probate, Conveyancing and family matters with particular reference to children.
Ian is also a Notary Public, his Notarial work now taking up a considerable part of his time in, for example, authenticating and certifying documents for use abroad and obtaining the necessary UK and Foreign Consulate legalisation for such documents.
Ian also comes from a sporting family, his father and one of his brothers having played rugby at International level. He himself has been a long standing supporter of the sport of rowing and has held an International Umpiring Licence for over twenty years. He was the British umpire at the Olympic regatta in Beijing in 2008 but admits that side of his activities is likely now to go into a fairly sharp decline!

Jonathan Davies

Jonathan Davies

Jon Davies is a partner in the Firm, having qualified as a Solicitor in 2000. He has returned to the Firm in October 2010 having previously spent time with us as a Trainee Solicitor and for a short while after qualifying, until 2002.

Jon's main areas of practice are residential and commercial Conveyancing, Wills Probate, Estate Planning and other private client matters such as Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection applications.

Jon continues with the Firm's sporting tradition - a former National League and County representative hockey player, Jon continues to play at Formby Hockey Cluband when time allows, also enjoys Golf, squash and cycling.

Jon spends the rest of his spare time with his wife Emma and two young children, Harry and Millie.

Chris Morton

Chris Morton

Chris Morton is a consultant to the firm having read history at Oxford and qualified as a solicitor in 1972. In the early part of his career he was interested in Litigation but over the last ten years or so he has specialised in Wills, Probate and Conveyancing matters. He is also a Notary Public.
Chris also has a sporting background having been a rugby and cricket player in his younger days, and having been part of the crew of the yacht LG Flatron which won the BT Global Challenge Round The World Race in 2000/01, a ten month long voyage.


David Stanley Howard

David Stanley Howard

David has been in practice since 1969 in both Merseyside and London. He has represented individuals and companies from small family businesses to larger commercial firms.

He has extensive experience of company law matters including sales and purchases, partnership law, commercial property including sales and lease-backs plus all aspects of commercial legal matters.

David also has many years in practice as a Notary Public.

His outside interests are travel, literature and history.

Jonathan Durkin

Jonathan Durkin

Jonathan Durkin began working at the firm in 2009 as a paralegal, and qualified as a Solicitor in February 2012. Prior to this he attended Merchant Taylors Crosby before going on to Liverpool John Moores University Law School where he graduated with Honours and then on to The College of Law Chester achieving a Commendation. He now specialises in Litigation, Contentious Probate, Landlord and Tenant, Business and Contract Law as well as Employment. Jonathan has represented Clients in all Courts up to and including the High Court. In February 2012 he was granted his Higher Rights of Audience in Civil Advocacy and he is also a FA Registered Solicitor.

In keeping with the firms sporting background Jonathan was a keen rugby player having played for Merchant Taylors, Waterloo RUFC and Sefton in his teenage years. Away from the office Jonathan enjoys football, being an avid Liverpool FC supporter, as well going the gym, music and travelling.
